A government-funded non-profit organization program that offers a two-week program for anyone looking for work in the trades in the local metro area, people moving from one trade to another, or people simply wanting to find out more about the wide variety of trades jobs. During the first week, workshops are offered to provide the tools needed to seek information and apply for work. In the second week, candidates sharpen those tools and are helped to create a custom-made plan for putting those tools to work, applying for jobs, investigating training and looking at alternatives. Support continues until the candidate finds work, sets up training, enters an apprenticeship or achieves whatever he or she has defined as success.
